SOPC Builder-Generated Hard IP Compiler for PCI Express Variations Might Violate FC Update Frequency Requirement

    Critical Issue

    Description

The PCI Express specification requires that flow control information be updated every 30 .s ±50%. Some SOPC Builder-generated IP Compiler for PCI Express hard IP implementations might violate that requirement for low priority FC updates. This violation can occur if a high priority FC update and a low priority FC update are scheduled to be transmitted at the same time. In this case, the low priority FC update might not be transmitted by the endpoint. However, this issue does not impact hardware performance.

This issue affects IP Compiler for PCI Express hard IP implementations generated in SOPC Builder.

    Resolution

    This issue has no workaround.

This issue will be fixed in a future version of the IP Compiler for PCI Express.
