Note PCI vendor ID 8086 identifies Intel as the manufacturer of the device.

Identify your adapter PCI Device ID. Choose your operating system below and follow the instructions.

Windows 7*
  1. Click Start.
  2. Right-click Computer.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. Click Device Manager.
  5. Expand Network adapters section and right-click the Intel® Network Adapter.
  6. Select Properties.
  7. Click the Details tab.
  8. Select Hardware ID from the pull-down menu.
  9. Match the PCI\VEN and DEV IDs to the IDs listed in the DevID column in the table. Example: PCI \VEN_8086&DEV_10D3&xxxxxxxxx
Note If you don’t find the PCI/VEN ID in the table, search for it with your preferred search engine.

Windows® 10 and Windows 8*/8.1*/2012*/2012 R2*/2016*
  1. From Start, type devmgmt.msc. The search screen opens automatically when you begin typing.
  2. Click devmgmt in the results.
  3. Expand Network adapters section.
  4. Right-click the Intel® Network Adapter.
  5. Select Properties.
  6. Click the Details tab.
  7. Select Hardware IDs from the pull-down menu.
  8. Match the PCI\VEN and DEV IDs to the IDs listed in the DevID column in the table. Example: PCI \VEN_8086&DEV_10D3&xxxxxxxxx
Note If you don’t find the PCI/VEN ID in the table, search for it with your preferred search engine.

  1. Type lspci -nn | grep -i 'Ethernet Controller' at a command prompt.
  2. Match the VendorID and DevID to those listed in the DevID column. Example: 8086: 107d
