Andrea Baldovin is a Research Scientist at Intel Labs where he focuses on techniques and tools for dependable systems development on Intel architectures, to meet the specific functional safety and reliability requirements in the Automotive and Industrial domains. Prior to this, he was with GE as an Avionics Software Engineer in their Aviation business and later as a Research Engineer in their Global Research division. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bologna, Italy.

Initially starting his research on real-time operating systems, his interests now span the whole life cycle of embedded software for safety-critical systems, and especially the verification and validation thereof in both the functional and timing dimensions, to extend to the potential use of AI-based technology in high assurance scenarios.
