Detailed Description

Systems running driver version 15.9.x, 16.0.x, 16.5.x, or 16.7.x should update to the latest version.

Note: Intel recommends that end users utilize driver updates provided by their system manufacturer/provider or via Windows Update to eliminate the potential impact caused by loading non-customized drivers. System manufacturers regularly customize Intel generic drivers to meet the needs of their specific system design. In such cases, use of the Intel generic driver update is not recommended.

Purpose

The Intel® Optane™ memory software suite supports the configuration and enabling of system acceleration with Intel® Optane™ memory.

Note: If you already have the Intel® RST application installed, you must remove it before installing the Intel® Optane™ memory application.

Which file to choose?

  • SetupOptaneMemory.exe:
    • Application/User Interface specifically designed and optimized to support system acceleration with Intel® Optane™ memory modules
    • Application installation also installs the Intel® RST drivers
  • f6flpy-x64.zip (64bit Operating System) [Optional]:
    • Standalone Intel® RST Drivers with Intel® Optane™ memory support
    • May be required during OS installation to detect PCIe* NVMe* drive, refer to system manufacturer documentation or Intel Customer Support

For advanced features supported with the Intel® RST Driver use of the Intel® RST application is suggested.
