DDR4 SDRAM: What you can expect
With the latest memory standard, DDR4, developers and consumers will enjoy reduced power consumption and increased data rates over previous generation processors. The Intel® Core™ i7 processor and Intel® X99 Chipset create the ultimate desktop PC platform for extreme gamers, enthusiasts, and content creators. The next generation of the Intel® Xeon® processor E5 family helps you face the IT challenges of today while preparing you for tomorrow’s data center innovations.
Intel's validation program: Objective
To verify SDRAM compliance to Intel specifications for and performance of supported DDR memory modules in Intel reference systems. The results of validation procedures provide a guideline for memory compatibility with Intel® processor integrated memory controllers.
This validation, performed by approved test labs on small samples of components and modules, is intended to demonstrate supplier design and manufacturing capability.
The validation process uses standardized procedures and methodologies documented in the Intel validation procedure for DDRx. This documented procedure is not intended to replace the normal product qualification process.
