The Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) specification describes the register-level interface for a Host Controller for Wireless Universal Serial Bus (USB) Revision 1.0. The specification includes a description of the hardware/software interface between system software and the host controller hardware. This specification is intended for hardware component designers, system builders and device driver (software) developers.
The latest revision of the specification is Revision 0.95 and can be downloaded below.
Implementation of the WHCI specification requires a license from Intel. A link to the WHCI contributors agreement is also provided below. This agreement provides a license on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms to certain intellectual property rights from Intel and other contributors, for the implementation of compliant, discrete WHCI–based host controllers. Note that Revision 0.95 is licensed only for the implementation of compliant, discrete WHCI–based host controllers.
