In un package compatto da 6 x 6 mm, i controller PHY assicurano procedure semplici di installazione e manutenzione, oltre a opzioni flessibili per la scheda madre. Questa famiglia di prodotti a elevate prestazioni, basata su PCI Express* è destinata a dispositivi mobile, PC desktop, workstation e server a costi contenuti. Consentono di migliorare la durata della batteria dei dispositivi mobile con la caratteristica integrata Intel® Auto Connect Battery Saver. Intel® 82578DM, 82577LM, 82567LM, 82566DM e 82566MM Gigabit Ethernet PHY supportano la tecnologia Intel® Active Management.
